Transitions® Lenses Singapore

Transitions® lenses in Singapore, also known as photochromic lenses, were introduced in the 1960s. Daniel Stookey, a genius chemist at Corning Glass Works, patented the first photochromic glass. A few years later, Roger Araujo, another chemist from the same centre, used his invention to construct the first ever photochromic lenses. When exposed to UV rays, transition lenses in Singapore change and darken. The harmful UV rays will gradually affect your eye’s sensitive macula. The macula is in charge of your central vision, but it can be harmed over time by factors such as aging, unhealthy lifestyle, and UV light.
